A Mountain Retreat Above the New River
New River Ridge sits on a quiet 28 acre stretch of mountain land overlooking Old Field Creek and the North Fork of the New River. From meadows and wooded paths to ridge-top views, the property was designed to feel peaceful, natural, and easy to explore.

THINGS TO DO ON THE RIDGE
Quiet moments. Simple pleasures. Fresh mountain air.

MAKE A FIRE
Enjoy a crackling fire right outside your cabin off your own private deck, or head down to the communal fire pit for a more social setting. Whether it’s morning coffee warmth or a late-night whiskey by the flames, a fire is always part of the New River Ridge experience.

GRILL A MEAL
Every home is equipped with its own grill for quiet dinners with a view. Prefer more space? Visit the shared grilling area in the common space, perfect for a slow afternoon cookout, steaks at sunset, or gathering with friends.

STARGAZE
With minimal surrounding light, the ridge becomes a natural observatory. Spot the Milky Way, constellations, and meteor showers from your deck or the open meadow

NATURE WATCH
The ridge is alive with wildlife. Relax on your deck with coffee and watch deer and turkey wander through the trees, listen for owls at night, or spot hawks circling above the valley. Nature moves slowly here, and invites you to do the same.

HIKE THE LAND
Walk the property’s natural paths, from the open grassy meadow to the wooded slope leading toward the ridge. Each turn offers a new perspective, whether it's filtered light through the trees, walking across the bridge over the creek or wide-open mountain views.

PLAY IN THE CREEK
Wade barefoot into the creek at the entrance of the property, where the water flows through the meadow, over rocks and an open canopy for warm sunlight. It’s perfect for cooling off, skipping stones, or simply sitting on the bank and taking in the quiet.

Quiet Moments. Endless Views
New River Ridge is located in Grassy Creek, North Carolina, just outside the town of West Jefferson.
The property sits minutes away from the North Fork of the New River, offering both ridge-top views and waterside access throughout the land.
